Moonlight and Ponds

Bran – Aetherling of ponds was a creature of the essence of deep still waters and pools. He was solitary by choice, and perhaps by nature. He liked his quiet and his darkness and the murky secretive depths of the pool he chose as his home. His ony company for most of his early life was the small silvery fish, frogs, newts and other things that scuttled in the dark and cold.

The one thing that he enjoyed that was not truly a part of his watery home was the moonlight, the way that it made a silver sphere on the surface of the waters, filtering down to be distorted and finally smothered by the depths.

He loved how it seemed to grow and shrink like the lilies that rose from the black mud at the bottom of his pool.

That perhaps is why he was so enchanted when Mali first appeared, the playful and teasing Aetherling of moonlight who danced at the edges of his pool, teasing with the moon’s reflection on the dark waters, at least till the stopper of her bottle fell into the water. That was how they first came to greet each other.

He took the stopper, lotus shaped as it was and offered to give it back, only if she would continue her visits to HIS pond, to speak with him again.

Truth be told he would not have begrudged her to simply take it back again, but she accepted his request, returning time and time again to play among the Lilly pads and white flowers in the moonlight.

Temperament – Playful and teasing – she is more often than not full of joy, playful and dancing but when the moon is dark she grows melancholy and craves company.

Bran- Essence – Ponds (Water)
Gender- Male
Tempterment – Quiet, often solitary but though he is reluctant to admit it, he craves company.
